Was this for the paperback? I have some rejected designs for the hardcover.

Hi Charles (Woods?),
my design was for the paperback edition. I don't think Mr. Wozniak wanted his head used as the dot over the "i", and using the early Mac font "Chicago" didn't fly. So they may go back to the original hardcover design.
Did you design the printed hardcover? I like it. No credit was listed. What did your rejected comps look like? Were they much different from what was published?

Hi Henry,
My name is Charles Brock, I'm principal and creative director for www.thedesignworksgroup.com. The final printed hardcover design wasn't mine. I did quite a few designs. I believe they ended up doing it in house. I will send you some of the comps I did.

Hi Charles,
Your studio does great work. Thanks for sending me your iWoz comps. I especially liked how you added a beard to the Mac logo to make it look like Steve Wozniak. Very clever.

Great cover. And In lieu of an approval, it sure makes for a great story. I'd love to sit around a camp fire where each designer told their funniest kill story. "Killed by the Woz" is definitely a rejection pedigree. Beats anything I got. :-)
